Chapter One titled, "A Curious Thing" details paranormal investigator Pam Nance's search for answers after losing forty five minutes of time while investigating the home and property of infamous North Carolina abductee Chris Bledsoe. She details the event and her struggle to make sense of the recordings and video footage from the evening with fellow investigator Ashley Field. Confused and with more questions than answers, she reaches out for help. She works with a therapist and then contacts former Director of the MUFON's Experiencer Resource Team, Kathy Marden. The collaboration unravels a thread of connections that seem to link the missing time event to strange events from her past.
