What we've learned has dramatically changed our perspective on his intentions onboard Discovery, his circumstances with Dave & Frank, and his eventual destiny. We compare HAL's personality and key motivations between the script and the final film. And we're left scratching our heads at the three card monte that is the Discovery pod bay.
