• The cross isn't just about Jesus dying for you—it's about being brought to absolute nothingness before God, where you realize you have nothing to offer him and can accomplish nothing in the flesh.

• Many of the evil thoughts and temptations assaulting believers aren't from their own hearts but are floods straight from hell—attacks from outside meant to overwhelm you with fear.

• God isn't trying to make you happy or fix your marriage—he's calling you to die to everything, but in that death comes resurrection power where you realize "I can do all things through Christ."
