Aggressive Blessings and Cosmic Melodies: Navigating the Edge of Mastery with Carter "Amel" Hansen

Aggressive Blessings and Cosmic Melodies: Navigating the Edge of Mastery with Carter "Amel" Hansen

What happens when your life literally catches fire? For DJ and producer Carter Hansen (Amel), it was the "aggressive blessing" he needed to stop playing it safe. In this episode, Amanda and Carter explore the grit behind the glamour of the EDM world.

From his days as a tech-rebellious Waldorf student to collaborating with Afrojack, David Guetta, and Martin Garrix, Carter discusses the discipline required to turn "imposter syndrome" into "international touring." We also get an exclusive look at his upcoming album, Journey of a Soul, a genre-bending project that brings his violin-playing roots into the modern club scene.

Main Topics Covered

The Power of Waldorf: Nurturing creativity without the box of traditional structure.
The House Fire Initiation: Losing everything to gain a clear mission.
Mentorship with Afrojack: The ballsy email that changed his career and the reality of the "waiting period."
Creative Sovereignty: Using the "War of Art" philosophy to stay disciplined when inspiration fades.
The Evolution of Amel: Blending electronic music with country-folk and live violin.
