EP 53: Kitty Obsidian- Kink Artist & Educator

We talk to Kitty Obsidian; performer, educator, sex worker and kink artist. Kitty is non-binary, mob Wiradjuri Kamilaroi and queer. Kitty shares how they started in the industry and what they do now. Kitty educates us on kink history, bdsm laws, the origin of the word Daddy in the industry, and how important it is to learn kink practices properly as an apprentice of a dominatrix. Kitty speaks on topics like their experiences being autistic and working in a brothel. Travelling around Europe performing, and the changes they would like to see as an artist in the sex industry. Kitty talks about Prep; a preventive drug for HIV that they believe all sex workers should be taking. Kitty is running a fetish fundraising event with Stigma Health, called Fantasy Ball, raising funds for Vixen’s crisis work. We also asked Kitty’s advise for newcomers to the drag scene. Kitty spoke about her health issues, but no genetic condition will keep this trailblazer bored, listen to find out what they will do with their recovery time.
