The Wax Museum Murder - Patsy Wright (part one)

Patsy Wright had everything going for her. A thriving business, a dream ranch on the horizon, a cutting horse she'd competed on and won with, and a life that was finally — after two marriages, an inheritance battle, and years of careful building — moving exactly in the direction she wanted.

On the evening of October 22nd, 1987, she came home from a Halloween party at her family's wax museum in Grand Prairie, Texas. She made herself something to eat. She made some phone calls. She set her alarm clock for the next morning.

And sometime after midnight, she reached for the cold medicine she kept in her bathroom.

She didn't make it to the morning.

Eight days later, a phone call changed everything. And what investigators found — in that bottle, in Patsy's inner circle, and in the tangle of money and motive and carefully kept secrets surrounding her death — would become one of the most fascinating and infuriating unsolved cases in Texas history.
