Peaches recalls essentially turning himself into a one-man athletic experiment because he wanted to defeat Zach for the romantic affection of a girl, culminating in a promposal involving a cereal box and a basketball-themed message featuring Peaches dunking alongside professional basketball players. And then, looming over the entire episode like a poorly written political thriller, comes Peach’s Manifesto. The hosts repeatedly tease its impending release until the phrase begins to sound less like a heartfelt birthday social-media caption and more like Peaches is about to emerge from a bunker wearing an Andre the Giant singlet and announce the dissolution of the United States. In reality, Peaches explains that the “manifesto” is essentially a long, emotional social-media caption about making amends with people from his past.
