Episode 199: It Was Definitely a Bad Idea...

Hi Dungeoneers, this is your trusty dungeon mistress Alexis Bates.

I’m popping in here to let you know that this episode had a major equipment failure. Our stalwart soundboard died during the recording, and the majority of the audio was never recorded. As a result, this episode is mostly quiet. While we have a new soundboard from the next episode onward, to that end, we are going to present what was saved here if you would like to watch it still, but I will also give you a brief synopsis of what happened during the episode.

In this episode, Midnight Brunch fled from the city of Hrothfarda pursued by the forces of Lord Admandi. After dodging several attempts to stop them, they were ultimately forced to face a group of soldiers led by one of the Lord’s undead Attendants.

In a pitched battle, while Ulseth focused the Attendant’s attention on himself, Hylwynn helped pierce arrow after arrow into the creature. However, they still faced down a number of the living soldiers that were chasing them. A clever illusion mimicking the party running from the battlefield, Nines was able to distract many of the soldiers, pulling them away from the scene. Meanwhile, Xoria summoned forth a massive thorn wall to divide the party battling the Attendant from the remaining soldiers. While they braved many powerful spells from the Attendant, doing some serious damage to Ulseth, they were able to ultimately overpower him, destroying the undead creature once and for all. With the remaining soldiers distracted and separated, Xoria was able to return to her giant eagle wildshape and carry the party to freedom.

They were finally able to catch their breath when they landed on the roof of The Scout Hotel, alerting Mulashti and Commander Korath to the coming danger the city faced by the forces of Lord Admandi. As the invasion of myth was becoming a reality for these time-travelers, they set about planning for the upcoming battle.
