217. Why Anger Makes Us Eat?

What happens when anger walks into the kitchen? Suddenly, the chips are in danger.

We unpack why anger can trigger eating, even when we’re not hungry, and why that post-argument pantry raid might have very little to do with food.

We talk about six common anger-eating patterns: rebellion, reward, comfort, control, punishment, and distraction, plus why anger might make you crave something crunchy, salty, sweet, or completely “off limits.”

We also break down how fight-or-flight can mess with digestion and introduce our simple A.N.G.E.R. framework to help us pause, figure out what’s really going on, and respond to the actual problem, not just eat our way through it.

Because sometimes the problem isn’t the cookie. It’s the person who made us want to eat the cookie.

If you’ve ever stress-eaten after an argument, frustration, or one-too-many “Can you just…” moments, this episode is for you.
