This week on Keeping Up With The Nerds, the gang dives into a jam-packed lineup of nerd origins, Autobot nostalgia, and a horror adaptation that might just break the video game curse!

First up, the Nerds get a little personal! The crew takes a trip down memory lane to talk about their family lives and the early influences that shaped them into the massive Nerds they are today. From Rene and Nick's early fandom memories to Bryan reflecting on passing the nerd mantle down to his daughter, Melina, the guys share what makes their geeky roots so special.

Then, it’s all about the Autobots. Sean and Nick geek out over their recent theater trip to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Transformers movie. The conversation shifts to the franchise's future as the guys review the brand-new short film, Transformers Awakening. After a quick detour to brainstorm some hilarious party video games the crew can play together on stream—like Among Us and Fall Guys—Bryan finally takes the floor to talk about Lanterns. He’s officially caught up on the highly acclaimed DC series and breaks down exactly why this show is hitting all the right notes.

Finally, the crew tackles their main event: reviewing Zach Cregger's highly anticipated Resident Evil! After all the heavy marketing and wild internet discourse, the gang delivers their verdict. The consensus? It's an unexpectedly fun thrill ride that might just be Cregger’s best work to date. But the guys ask the ultimate question: does this movie claim the crown as the greatest video game adaptation ever made? All this and more!

🎙️ Nerd Origins & Family Ties: The gang gets personal, sharing stories about their family lives and the defining moments that shaped their nerdy passions.

🤖 Transformers 40th & Awakening: Sean and Nick review the 40th-anniversary theatrical rerelease of the classic Transformers movie and discuss the new short film, Transformers Awakening.

🎮 Party Games & Lanterns: The crew plots out future game nights with Among Us and Fall Guys, while Bryan gives his glowing review of catching up on DC's Lanterns.

🧟 Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil: The Nerds review the highly-hyped Resident Evil movie, debating if Cregger's unexpectedly fun adaptation is the best the video game genre has ever seen.
