What Alleigha Botner Admitted She Texted Caleb Flynn About Ashley

The woman the state called to convict Caleb Flynn had to read one of her own messages to the jury this week, and then confirm she wrote it. It was about Ashley Flynn. It was five words. And Caleb's reply was "that makes two of us."

This is part two of a three-part panel on Alleigha Botner's testimony with retired FBI agents Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer, and it's about what she did. Three clips. The July 10 message and her "I didn't mean it." A September 2 exchange, five months before the murder, in which the two of them try to figure out whether Ashley kept photos of their messages, Caleb offers to check his wife's phone while she's asleep, and Botner tells him to be careful, asks what his cover story will be, and signs off with "Perfect." And her August 22 answer to his "thinking of ways to kill her" message: "I'm not asking that you take her life, obviously," followed by an ultimatum, "her or me," and "time is ticking."

Ashley Flynn was shot twice in the head in her Tipp City home on February 16, 2026. Prosecutors say her husband did it and staged an intruder. On cross-examination Botner said she has no charges and was promised nothing. The panel works the question the jury can't avoid: was she being played, or was she pushing?
