Watching Bieber While Getting Monahan Notes

Jeff and Elliotte look back at a successful NHL All-Star Weekend for almost everyone involved. Elliotte outlines how the NHL did the work to make sure the event was a reputational bounce back after studying last year's struggles in Florida (5:13). They get into Nikita Kucherov's controversial performance and how some believe he should lose the Hart over it (16:58) and Elliotte delves into the exposure that Justin Bieber and Tate McRae brought to the league over the weekend (24:38). Following the All-Star weekend discussions, Jeff and Elliotte expand on the NHL's new international schedule that will include best-on-best tournaments up to 2032 (40:39) and focus in on the discussion around the Arizona Coyotes future (44:24). They finish the A block by talking about Gary Bettman's comments on the 2018 World Junior investigation (50:35).

Later in the podcast, Jeff and Elliotte talk about a potential partnership between the CHL and NCAA (1:04:41) and the Sean Monahan trade to the Winnipeg Jets (1:12:42). They also discuss Todd McLellan being let go by the LA Kings (1:15:52).
