In response to the events we all are enduring, we wanted to take this opportunity to speak to children about some of their favorite animals. We ask them to research a species for an interview and we get to listen and learn from the next generation. We encourage all the parents out there to share these episodes and ask your kids to research an animal and interview them about it. What did they learn? How are the animals doing in the wild? The Chinchilla brings a smile to anyone's face, but has a conservation story many are not aware of. In the early 1900s, the Chinchilla almost went extinct, prized for its fur. The Hawaiian Monk Seal is one of the most endangered pinnipeds on the planet. Living solely in the Hawaiian archipelago, these seals are rare in that they are a tropical seal.
