This haunting narrative, told from the perspective of his grandson, explores how Jim used the feared presence of Sasquatch creatures to keep revenue agents and competitors away from his illegal stills in an area locals called "Booger Holler." But as we'll discover, nature always collects its debts, and some territories should never be trespassed—no matter how profitable they might be.

This haunting tale explores themes of territory, respect for nature, and the price of hubris. The Appalachian Mountains have long been home to tales of strange creatures and unexplained phenomena, with "Booger" being a common mountain term for ghost or monster.
