Ep. 216: A very blue anniversary

NOTE: We have a very special thank you for our $20 and up Max Fun Members from 31:14 to 41:33. Thanks so much for your contribution and continued support!

Keep your masks on tight and protect your legs and jaws!

Hal, Danielle and Lindsey are ready to discuss everything from the week in wrestling starting with NXT TakeOver 31. A fine show as always, but why does it feel like everyone on the show has had their titles forever? Is that just our impatient quarantine brain talking or is it actually a problem?

Plus, we’ll get into the return of Ember Moon and how stacked the NXT women’s division is.

And we haven’t forgotten about AEW which celebrated a new champion and the 30th anniversary of Chris Jericho via some very memorable cameo requests (which we’re happy to add to here)

Main Event

We’ve waited a while for Mustafa Ali to get his big break and now he’s finally got it: He’s officially the leader of Retribution. How confident are we that this will lead to a major boost for him? And does his new found turn speak to how poorly WWE is able to write straight forward babyfaces in a way that gets the audience to cheer for them?

The Three Count

Danielle put over Effy’s big gay brunch 2020 and For the Culture.

Lindsey put over Ember Moon and Toni Storm’s return and the final weeks of the G1 Climax

Hal put over the Chris Jericho anniversary celebration.

Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk.

Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
