In this hilarious and heartfelt episode of Teachers Off Duty, hosts Bri, Anna and Lauren dive deep into the chaos, comedy, and classroom realities of teaching at opposite ends of the age spectrum — kindergarten and middle school.

From soggy French fries in backpacks to drama-fueled middle school breakups, this episode offers an unfiltered look at the wild things kids say and do, no matter their age. The teachers compare notes on everything from hygiene horror stories and awkward parent-teacher conferences to fire drills gone wrong and the stress of standardized testing (including a literal chicken nugget fire that set off alarms during state exams).

They also explore the stark contrast between innocent kindergartners who still believe their teachers sleep at school and hormonal middle schoolers who vape, gossip, and push every boundary. Despite the differences, one truth rings loud and clear: kids of all ages are unpredictable, hilarious, and in desperate need of patient, passionate educators.

Bonus laughs come with discussions about students' strange behavior, TMI stories, and the shared trauma of teacher duty—especially during car rider lines and state testing. They wrap with a hilarious game idea: Was it Kindergarten or Middle School? (Spoiler: it could be both.)

Teachers, parents, and anyone who needs a good laugh about the reality of the classroom.
