Spoiler Discussion: Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 [Audio Fixed]

On the June 22, 2022 episode of /Film Daily, /Film editorial director Peter Sciretta is joined by /Film editor Brad Oman and /Film writer and Star Wars expert Bryan Young to have a spoiler-filled discussion about Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6. Opening Banter: In The Spoiler Room: Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Feedback Chad from New Orleans writes in “the new cone-shaped droid from Kenobi episode 5 appears to be the winner of the "Build My Droid" contest that ran in 2019. Fans were able to submit their droid designs, and the winner would be used in a future project. Here is the official Star Wars website article with pictures of the winner. Just thought it was a cool bit of trivia that you guys might appreciate.” Greg, New Orleans: “During the climax of episode 5 when Reva is crawling on the ground and finds the communicator, she first finds her lightsaber. During the fight Vader broke her lightsaber in half, but now it appears to be whole. Did anyone else notice this mistake, or am I missing something?” Patrick D: “ So I just finished listening to your episode discussing this week’s episode of Kenobi. My question for you is about Vader and him finding out about Luke and Leia. I haven’t read any of the Doctor Aphra comics yet, but I did recently listen to the Doctor Aphra audiobook and thought it was fantastic. In this story, Aphra meets Vader for the first time after the destruction of the first Death Star. Vader uses Aphra to help him with different missions and investigations. The thing Vader becomes fixated on and asks Aphra to help with is finding out more info on Luke Skywalker. Vader, as well as Aphra, eventually figures out that Padme gave birth to a son before her death and that Luke is Vader’s son. If Vader doesn’t find out about Luke until after episode IV, then he can’t find out about the kids in next week’s episode. Right?” Brief reactions Breakdown Speculation Also mentioned: All the other stuff you need to know: You can find more about all the stories we mentioned on today’s show at slashfilm.com, and linked inside the show notes. /Film Daily is published every weekday, bringing you the most exciting news from the world of movies and television as well as deeper dives into the great features from slashfilm.com.
