🌍 Jupiter is truly the jewel of our solar system! On a dark night, the brightest pearl rises in the east, giving a special charm to the starry sky! In terms of brightness, the planet is only slightly less than Venus. Even in ancient times, the planet delighted and amazed people!
It is no coincidence that it was named after the ancient Roman god of ancient mythology! Jupiter, the supreme god, associated with thunder, lightning and storms!
Jupiter is one of the brightest objects in our sky and the largest planet in the solar system, located between Mars and Saturn, and belongs to the class of gas giants, as it is made up of different gas compounds.
In addition, it has many moons, an unusual surface and even dark rings. It regularly experiences storms, thunderstorms, as well as auroras, which are several times larger than those of the Earth!
The most famous formation on the surface of Jupiter is the large red spot which was first seen in the 17th century and is still not in a hurry to disappear!
Although Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system, little is known about its inner workings. Telescopes have taken many photographs of the outer layers of the gas giant's clouds, but these clouds act as a protective screen, preventing the eye from penetrating deeper and uncovering the mysteries of these depths...

💥 LIFE IN THE JOVIAN SYSTEM:
- Jupiter is the fifth closest planet to the Sun: it is separated from our central star by Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and the asteroid belt. When our ancestors called Jupiter in honor of the king of all gods, they did not even suspect the size of this planet!
Jupiter is a gas giant covered with swirling clouds. In our sky it looks like a bright dot, but with a small telescope you can see it as a white ball.
The average density of Jupiter is 1.33 g / cm slightly higher than that of water. The force of gravity at the equator of the planet is 2.6 times that of the Earth.
Jupiter has no seasons because of its slight axial tilt. But on the planet, you can constantly observe hurricanes.

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system, the oldest, as well as the most massive: it represents 2.5 times the mass of the other planets in our solar system combined.
Its radius is 69 911 km, 11 times that of the Earth. Its mass is 317 times greater than that of our planet, and it is more than double the total mass of all the other planets in the solar system. This mass compressed into a sphere, gives Jupiter an enormous gravitational attraction, which probably shaped the orbit of the Earth and other planets in the neighborhood.
To help understand the size of Jupiter, imagine that about 1,300 terrestrial spheres could fit inside this huge planet! Thus, if the gas giant was the size of a basketball, then our Earth would be the size of a grape!

Jupiter and its many moons resemble a miniature solar system that is of particular interest to scientists around the world.
Jupiter has 79 moons.
The four largest moons of Jupiter are Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. They are also called the Galilean satellites after their discoverer.


It is unlikely that gas giants support life as we know it. Since these planets are huge balls of volatile compounds with no significant surface.
However, it is possible to find microbial life on various icy moons of the solar system's gas giants. Therefore, scientists aim to study three moons of Jupiter, Ganymede, Callisto and Europa, to see if there are conditions for life there.
