Anwar, who is leading a number of projects focused on the intersection of technology and personal freedom exited his corporate career as a software engineer to support activist movements - he found the true power of the internet is to bring people together under one cause.

After facing mass censorship and cyberattacks, he realized that free thinkers need friendly technology and so he founded #TakeBackOurTech to teach others how to use empowering technology.
