Slow Healing Heart

Slow Healing Heart

What if slowing down isn’t a setback—but part of the process?

In this episode of Selective Hearing, Julie Dammar gets real about a season of stillness, surrender, and slow healing. She shares what it looked like to stop confusing movement with progress and begin trusting God with the outcome.

Stillness, Julie reminds us, doesn’t necessarily mean doing nothing. Sometimes it looks like praying, journaling, fasting, serving, studying, mending relationships, and simply taking the time to ask, “God, is this what I’m supposed to be doing?”y.

This episode is an invitation to pause and ask yourself:

Where are you moving just because you’re used to moving? Where might you be confusing movement with progress? Where might God be asking you to slow down, surrender, or simply listen?

Healing and transformation aren’t always visible. Sometimes the greatest changes are happening quietly within us—softening our hearts, shifting our perspectives, changing our choices, and preparing us for what comes next.

Slow healing is still healing. Stillness is not stagnation. And sometimes listening is the next move.

Tune out the noise. Tune into peace.
