In this Episode

In this week’s episode Aly invites listeners into a conversation about why “more” isn’t always better when it comes to movement. She unpacks the lifelong philosophy that has shaped her own practice—quality over quantity—and explains why careful, attentive movement often outperforms gritted-teeth repetition every single time.

She breaks down the “quality checks” she teaches—alignment, positioning, neuromuscular connection, and performance cues—and explains how these micro-details can completely change how we feel during (and after) class.

Aly illustrates what happens when good form quietly unravels and how our bodies remember the repetitions that weren’t so supportive. Rather than treating this as something to judge, she frames it as valuable information, inviting listeners to adjust, pause, rest, or personalize their movement so the body can store higher-quality patterns over time.

Aly’s overarching message is simple and liberating: when you prioritize quality, quantity naturally rises to meet you, not the other way around.
