004 - Awakening

Siddhartha is a timeless philosophical novel that beautifully explores the journey to Enlightenment. Follow the story of Siddhartha, the son of an Indian Brahman, as he embarks on a profound quest that takes him beyond the comforts of home. Along the way, he experiences the full spectrum of human emotion and existence living with ascetics, encountering Gotama the Buddha, discovering the art of love with the courtesan Kamala, and ultimately finding wisdom through the simple yet profound observations of the ferryman, Vasudeva. Herman Hesse (1877-1962), the esteemed German-Swiss novelist, poet, and painter, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1946.
