Carry On, Jeeves - Full Audiobook - PG Wodehouse

Carry On, Jeeves is a humorous collection of short stories by P. G. Wodehouse featuring the beloved characters Bertie Wooster and his brilliant valet Jeeves. The book contains ten stories that showcase Bertie’s constant ability to stumble into ridiculous social problems and Jeeves’s unmatched talent for quietly solving them.Bertie Wooster is a wealthy but rather clueless young English gentleman who often finds himself in trouble with overbearing relatives, demanding fiancées, eccentric friends, and awkward social situations. Whenever Bertie’s plans spiral out of control, Jeeves calmly devises clever schemes to set everything right—usually while subtly guiding Bertie away from bad decisions. Each story follows a similar comedic pattern: Bertie attempts to help a friend, escape an unwanted engagement, or outmaneuver a troublesome relative, only to make the situation worse. Jeeves then steps in with intelligence, strategic thinking, and impeccable timing to restore order. Though Jeeves always solves the problem, he often uses the opportunity to influence Bertie’s behavior—sometimes persuading him to abandon questionable fashion choices or unsuitable companions. The humor of the book comes from Wodehouse’s witty language, absurd situations, and the contrast between Bertie’s cheerful foolishness and Jeeves’s quiet genius.Overall, Carry On, Jeeves is a classic work of British comic literature that celebrates clever dialogue, social satire, and one of the most famous servant–master relationships in fiction. It helped establish the enduring popularity of the Jeeves and Wooster stories, which remain beloved for their lighthearted charm and timeless humor.
