S3E20: Deadbeat

This research file follows Devon, a teenager still grieving the loss of his father one year after his death. Despite the addiction, the violence, and the damage left behind, Devon chooses to remember the man his father tried to be rather than the monster others claimed he was.

But grief has a way of twisting people.

What begins as a quiet visit to a cemetery quickly spirals into something impossible when Devon discovers signs that someone has disturbed his father’s grave. Strange symbols. Blood. A grotesque stitched offering left atop the headstone. And beneath it all… evidence that something may have clawed its way back out.

At home, Devon is forced to confront a horrifying truth. His mother has done the unthinkable in an attempt to reclaim the life she believed was stolen from her. But what returns is not redemption. It is not forgiveness.

And it is not truly his father.

As the dead begin to rise and the consequences spread beyond a single household, Devon realizes that some debts cannot be repaid… only collected.

In this file, grief becomes obsession, love becomes possession, and the desperate attempt to rebuild a broken family tears the world apart.

Some people should stay buried.

And some debts should never be collected.
