The pressure on women to shrink their bodies - with Alex Light

Alex Light is a UK-based advocate and speaker on body image, body confidence & self-acceptance. Alex’s latest book is ‘The Price of Pretty: How toxic beauty standards are bringing women down and how we can fight back’.

You might’ve heard us talk about Alex on the podcast before we LOVE her content so much and we were so excited to have her on the KICPod for the first time!!

Laura sat down with Alex to speak about how women’s bodies trend through time, the return of skinniness, the prevalence of GLP1’s, AI, bounce-back culture after women give birth, and lots more!!
