Virginia Tech Rector Sues Spanberger: Fired With No Reason Given

Virginia Tech’s former rector isn’t going quietly. John Rocovich, a Roanoke attorney and longtime Hokie who poured years of service into his alma mater, is suing Governor Abigail Spanberger after she removed him from the Board of Visitors with no specific misconduct cited.

Rocovich argues Spanberger’s May 27 letter failed to detail any violation of the Board Code of Ethics or state appointee standards, violating Virginia code requirements for cause.
