About the Guest: Marileda Tomé, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist, supervisor, and professor at the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She earned her Master’s degree from the Federal University of Santa Maria in Brazil and completed her PhD at the University of São Paulo. For nineteen years, Dr. Tomé served as an Assistant Professor in the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at Itajaí Valley University in Brazil. Alongside her academic career, she operated a private practice focused primarily on the evaluation and treatment of myofunctional disorders.
