Is It Ambition? …or a Mother/Father Wound?

What if what you call ambition isn’t actually ambition at all?

Sometimes the relentless drive to succeed, prove yourself, stay productive, achieve more, or finally become “good enough” can come from somewhere much deeper—the mother wound, father wound, childhood trauma, emotional neglect, or the need to earn the love and validation you didn’t receive growing up.

In this episode, we’re unpacking the difference between healthy ambition and trauma-driven achievement.

Are you chasing your dreams because they genuinely fulfill you—or because some wounded part of you is still trying to prove your worth?

We’ll explore childhood trauma, attachment wounds, inner child healing, parental validation, people-pleasing, perfectionism, narcissistic parenting, abandonment wounds, self-worth, and the pressure to become successful as a way of escaping your past.

Because healing isn’t about becoming less ambitious

It’s about making sure your ambition belongs to you-not the wounded version of you that had something to prove.

Your success hits differently when you no longer need it to prove that you are worthy.
