(00:00-01:36) – In the opening segment of today’s show, Greg Rakestraw by telling you about whom you will be hearing from today and what those conversations will entail (04:38-19:40) – Arguably Indiana’s best soccer player ever in Demarcus Beasley makes his first ever appearance on Soccer Saturday to elaborate on the news around him wanting to bring a soccer team to his home town of Fort Wayne, if he could imagine owning his own club and putting it in Fort Wayne when he started his professional career twenty years ago, and gives you the answer as to what the target date is to have a club ready to start competing. (22:41-38:17) – All-time leading scorer of the Indy Eleven in Eamon Zayed joins the show live this time after requesting to be on the show with Greg via Twitter last week to discuss the training that he can be apart of in Chattanooga, what he did during prior to training to stay in shape while he was quarantines, and some of the things that he has done in Chattanooga on his spare time. (41:19-54:07) – Ian Joy from Fox Sports is our last guest from today’s edition of Soccer Saturday to explain how how surprised he is that the Bundislega has received so much media attention of its return, how close the action was last weekend in comparison to when matches were last played in March, and why the younger Americans go to the Bundesliga first. (17:47-39:13) – Former Indy Eleven player and current assistant coach from Sacramento Republic FC in Colin Falvey follows Connor for a lengthy elaborating on how long he believes the team will need to get ready to start playing again, when he knew it was time to go from a player to a coach, and they reflect on his favorite memory and accomplishment during his time as a player with the boys in blue. (02:57-10:44) – Head Coach Martin Rennie of the boys in blue joins us for the second consecutive week, but this time it’s from an interview he did with Devon Kerr as the two discuss Landon Donovan, what coaching is all about, and what his mindset was when he was entering his first season as head coach of the Indy Eleven. (10:46-32:04) – This week’s catch up interview with a former Indy Eleven player is Owain fon Williams for a rather lengthy discussion on the soccer in Scotland in comparison to the United States, if he has any idea where he could be playing next season, and if he had a chance to go out and experience Indianapolis in his only season as a member of the club. (32:06-43:40) – In the fourth segment in today’s show, Greg plays a little bit of Eamon Zayed’s conversation with Josh Mason in April about his favorite moments when he was with the team, how special of a bond he had with some of his teammates, and some of his favorite parts of the city he enjoyed visiting during his time in Indianapolis. (29:47-44:17) – The director of Worth the Wait, Tucker Gragg, joins the show to discuss why right now was the right time to produce the documentary, how Jerry Yeagley turned down a coaching offer late in his (coaching) career to stay at IU, and what his current role is today in Indiana University’s soccer program. (44:19-44:59) – In the final segment of today’s show, Greg wraps it up by giving you an update on the returns of various soccer leagues and a couple of important dates for the Indy Eleven that are approaching.
