(17:09-32:01) – The captain of the Indy Eleven in Matt Watson joins the show to walk you through how he was feeling last week when he physically could not take the field, what Martin Rennie’s immediate reaction once Watson informed him about his decision to not play last week, and how he is attempting to balance being a dad, soccer player, coach, and be a leader in the community. (35:03-48:03) – Ray Gaddis makes his third appearance on Soccer Saturday to explain the work he is doing Black Players Coalition with MLS, provide his insight on how his team (Philadelphia Union) is doing right now, and how much communication he has with his former North Central soccer coach in Jerry Little. (06:43-25:46) – Head Coach Martin Rennie returns to the show to go over the loss on Wednesday at Louisville City, walks you through the timeline in which Matt Watson informed Coach Rennie that he wasn’t going to play on Wednesday, and how he help bridges the cultural divides as a coach in the locker room while also seeing how much closer the team becomes when they come together to talk about racial injustice. (28:46-39:42) – The Indy Eleven re-signed Josh Penn, an Indiana University alumnus, to become a full time professional soccer player earlier this week and stops by once again on the program to explain why he chose to forgo the rest of his collegiate career and get a head start on his professional career. Penn also accessed the improvements he has made from playing with the team last year to now and goes back in time to relive the moment of playing on a professional soccer team at the age of 18. (42:44-53:40) – During this segment of Soccer Saturday, Greg plays a couple of snippets from a conversation Greg had with Matt Watson on June 13th on this show in regards to social injustice. Watson discussed how the George Floyd incident affected the Indy Eleven locker room because the message he delivered fits the bill for what just happened with Jacob Blake and how people are becoming more comfortable with speaking up on how black lives matter . (04:16-13:44) – Head Coach Martin Rennie is back in his weekly spot to recap the big win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds which capped off a season sweep last Saturday 1-0. He talks about why his team is very successful after going a man down due to penalty. Coach Rennie also begins to preview the next couple matches as they will battle rivals Louisville City in a Home and Home over the next couple of weeks. (16:44-29:24) – On this segment of the show Greg Rakestraw gets the opportunity to chat with Indy Eleven Goalie Evan Newton. They discuss the huge penalty save that Evan had to secure the 1-0 win over Pittsburgh last Saturday. They also discuss the extended time between matches as they only have one match in 20 days which is Wednesday against Louisville FC on the road. He also discusses his 50 clean sheets when he is goalie as well as giving advice to the new fathers on the team. (32:24-42:12) – Former United States Women’s National Team Member Christie Rampone, who was on five World Cup teams, talks about her new book to help parents “Be All In.” She discusses what that term means to her. She discusses seeing current Women’s National Team members leaving the United States and play for club teams overseas and also the current state of the NWSL (45:12-56:43) – In the final segment of today’s show, on the day before the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500, Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey joins the show to preview tomorrow’s race, how his Month of August has been, running full time in the Indy Car Series for the first time, and talk about his love for the sport of soccer and his Indy Eleven Fandom.

He also talks about being honored with the Championship Coach of the Month and what it means to him. They also discuss the dramatic win at Pittsburgh with a late game goal to secure the win and what can be learned from that game to the home game tonight against the same Pittsburgh squad. (19:24-35:49) – On this segment of the show Greg Rakestraw gets the opportunity to chat with Authors of The Game, Stewart Roy Clark and John Williams. They discuss what the book is about and what the game, soccer means in the United Kingdom and how English Football has changed over the last 30 years. They discuss stories of how the book was written and the process behind it as well. (38:49-51:00) – Television play-by-play broadcaster for Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Matt Gajtka joins Greg this week to preview the match tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium between the Riverhounds and Indy Eleven and how the season has gone for the Riverhounds since the last meeting between the teams last month. (05:26-17:56) – Head Coach Martine Rennie is back in his weekly spot to go over how nice it feels to get a week off after playing a handful of games in a two week stretch, breaks down their opponent tonight in Louisville City, and then explains why he likes what he has seen so far out of newly signed Felicien Dumas. (20:57-34:56) – Indy Eleven’s Felician Dumas makes his first appearance on Soccer Saturday to describe the emotions he felt being able to walk out on the field for the first time for the club after the delays he went through as a result of the pandemic, what the zoom meetings during the pandemic were like halfway across the globe, and what he hopes to apply to rest of the season after what he’s learned in his limited time with the club. (37:57-53:00) – Radio play-by-play broadcaster for Louisville City in Clay Ables joins Greg this week to give his take on what it is like broadcasting from a studio off of a monitor versus being at the arena, why the start for Louisville City has not been what they expected it to be, and whether or not some of the guys who have built up this franchise are starting to show their age. (05:16-16:18) – Head Coach Martin Rennie is back after another midweek victory this week to go over the way things unfolded against Hartford Athletic on Wednesday, what he thought of Drew Conner’s performance in their most recent match, and what he is expecting from Sporting Kansas City II to come out and do to try and get their second win on the season. (19:19-29:38) – One of Indy Eleven’s fullback’s and winger’s in Nick Moon joins the show to explain if he would have expected to have an opportunity to receive as much playing time as he has when he signed with the team in the off-season, what it’s been like to have the best view on the field for what Tyler Pasher has done so far this season, and what it’s like playing in Lucas Oil Stadium.
