Ep. 528: Long Distance Kitesurfing Revisited - Bowen Dwelle

Ep. 528: Long Distance Kitesurfing Revisited - Bowen Dwelle

Originally aired July 20, 2017 Bowen is a lifelong outdoors sports enthusiast (skateboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, sailing, windsurfing, surfing, SUP, open water swimming, trail running, MTB, kitesurfing, paragliding) and has in the last ten years become semi-professional kitesurfer. While most people think of kitesurfing for the freestyle (tricks) and perhaps also for wave riding, there are other disciplines that are gaining traction and progressing the sport: course racing, foil board kiting and his specialty: long distance. He has learned techniques to allow truly long-distance travel – 100+ miles in a day and 1000+ miles in a single journey by kite!
