Clips Clinging to 8th as Anthony Davis Trade Rumors Swirl

Clips Clinging to 8th as Anthony Davis Trade Rumors Swirl

The Clippers are still in the playoffs, just barely. The West continues to be wild, and the Clippers needed a miracle comeback in order to salvage a win through this week. Aside from a Raptors schedule loss, the week seemed very manageable but quickly became mostly a lost cause. Included in the week was a bad home loss against the bad Hawks, a tough loss against the stumbling Lakers, a crazy comeback in Detroit, and the aforementioned predictable loss in Toronto. While the team has looked mostly underwhelming, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has had a nice stretch of double-figure games including two of his better games of the season to close the week. The Clippers were namedropped as a destination for Anthony Davis, though it seems to be mostly posturing. What do we think about DeAndre Jordan finding his way back to the Clippers? And what will and should the trade deadline bring for the Clippers? Buy or sell? All that and your twitter questions on the latest episode of the Lob, the Jam, the Podcast!

TLTJTP: Clippers Take Impressive Road Wins in Toronto and Indiana

Thanks for the ring and the W, Raps. Kawhi Leonard showed up in Toronto, shook some hands, and then efficiently helped the Clippers beat the Raptors on the road. Paul George was not greeted with open arms in Indiana, but he put on a virtuoso performance to lead the Clippers in a tough win for a weary Clipper team. After a thud against the prepared Bucks, the Clips have looked really good on this road trip. Same Old Clippers: Clippers Losses, Kawhi's Struggles, Lakers and Bucks Surging, and NBA Access Journalism

Since the last episode of Same Old Clippers, the Clips have lost twice, which means a double episode of the show. First off, the guys discuss those losses, and what exactly happened that led to the Clippers dropping both games. Then, they segue into Kawhi Leonard's issues, which surprisingly center around his offensive game and inconsistent shooting. From there, they move into a discussion on the Clippers' competition for the NBA Championship, focusing on the suddenly joyous Lakers and the machine-like Bucks. Finally, the two go on a lengthy diatribe against access journalism in the NBA, how that's damaging content and coverage, and why that plays into the NBA's weak rankings this season.Learn more about your ad choices. TLTJTP: Clippers Put Up 150 Again, Go 3-1 for the Week

TLTJTP: Clippers Put Up 150 Again, Go 3-1 for the Week

The Clippers had a pretty good week despite a disappointing loss to the Spurs. The win in Dallas was impressive, with the team pulling away in the second half and never looking back while limiting phenom Luka Doncic in the process. The Memphis win left a lot to be desired and the Spurs loss was brutal to watch, but the team rebounded against the hapless defense of the Washington Wizards to feast for a casual 150. Afterwards, Kawhi Leonard stated that the team is still learning each other, and that remains very evident despite a solid start in the brutal Western Conference. How close is this team to reaching their potential? All that and your Twitter questions on the latest episode of the Lob, the Jam, the Podcast!Learn more about your ad choices. TLTJTP: Paul George's Scorching Return and Clippers' Young Guys Stepping Up

TLTJTP: Paul George's Scorching Return and Clippers' Young Guys Stepping Up

Paul George is very good at basketball. The Clippers were disappointing record-wise this week and squandered two 4th quarter leads for losses on back to back nights on the road, partly due to the brilliance of opponents Jrue Holiday and James Harden. However, the offense began coming together against the Pelicans and was absolutely rolling against the overwhelmed Atlanta Hawks, led by a hyper efficient George and career best performances from Terance Mann and Jerome Robinson. We are finally nearing the time when we watch Kawhi Leonard and Paul George play together, and we are extremely hyped! Takes on the games this week, on our new play by play/color commentator duo, and your Twitter questions on the latest episode of the Lob, the Jam, the Podcast!Learn more about your ad choices.
