Commercialising Research in Sustainable Biostimulants

Commercialising Research in Sustainable Biostimulants

In this episode we meet Bianca Forte and Cara Griffiths to chat about new developments in the biostimulant sector.Single molecule biostimulants like the one SugaROx is developing are novel in agri-tech. The sugar-based compound helps plants through signalling, to improve their carbon allocation, 'teaching the plant to be more efficient'. With this biostimulant, yield increases of up to 22% are possible. For every loaf of bread, 11% reduction in carbon emissions are possible. In this episode, we'll explore this technology, the future development pipeline of the tech, and the call to regulators to facilitate adoption. This episode forms part of our Back to the Future project, for Agri-TechE's 10th birthday celebrations.
