In this episode we meet Bianca Forte and Cara Griffiths to chat about new developments in the biostimulant sector.Single molecule biostimulants like the one SugaROx is developing are novel in agri-tech. The sugar-based compound helps plants through signalling, to improve their carbon allocation, 'teaching the plant to be more efficient'. With this biostimulant, yield increases of up to 22% are possible. For every loaf of bread, 11% reduction in carbon emissions are possible. Andrew has long been engaged with adopting innovation on farm and shares his thoughts on what has - or hasn't - worked, and what he wants to see on farm in the years ahead.Home Farm Nacton produces organic vegetables, red tractor certified and leaf marque crops in Suffolk. The farm is a patchwork of woodland, heath, grass and arable land and comprises 1,170 hectares on the historic Orwell Park Estate on the north bank of the Orwell estuary near Ipswich. In addition to which Home Farm Nacton farms contract partners farms, Comprising of 814 hectares as of 2019.Home Farm strive to use the best science available to us to help make crop production and landscape management decisions.
