You know where everything comes from, every single movement and thought -and the audience knows too, and they will recognize themselves, they will know exactly what you are doing and why you are doing it, because you will mirror them. Our first series is about becoming Norman Bates from Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.In this first episode we will start from the very beginning, without going into any psychology, (however tempting that is) to get a better understanding for whom Norman Bates might be. We talk about the importance of Time and Space, within the Story, and how that influences your Performance. We will also do an exercise on how to find the specific, detailed, information you will need, to bring all of this research material to life later on.
