Jimmy declined to testify when asked to explain the discrepancy because his replies could further condemn him.

7. Two new witnesses have come forward and filed affidavits, adding to the growing body of evidence against Jimmy Fennell. An insurance salesperson said that Jimmy threatened to kill Stacey when she was applying for life insurance in these documents. The second witness was a Lee County Sheriff's Office Deputy at the time of the murder, to whom Jimmy made an incriminating statement about Stacey's body at her funeral.

8. Jimmy was sentenced to ten years in jail after committing a sex crime and kidnapping while on duty. Jimmy has a history of aggression toward women, according to law enforcement documents.
