Ep. 066 | Kim Jong-nam [Part 2] & the Death of Otto Warmbier

Kim Jong-nam, the estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was assassinated on February 13, 2017, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. Two women, Siti Aisyah from Indonesia and Đoàn Thị Hương from Vietnam, smeared a lethal dose of VX nerve agent on his face, allegedly believing they were participating in a prank video. The attack was widely believed to be orchestrated by North Korean agents as part of a state-sanctioned assassination.

Ep. 032 | The Murders of Ben Smart and Olivia Hope

The Murders of Ben Smart and Olivia Hope: A Controversial Case In this episode, Kelsey and Emily delve into one of New Zealand's most infamous mysteries—the disappearances of Ben Smart and Olivia Hope on New Year's Eve 1997. The pair vanished after boarding a boat with a mystery man, and despite extensive searches, their bodies were never found. 26-year-old Scott Watson was convicted of their murders based largely on circumstantial evidence and later-discredited witness testimonies, but he has always maintained his innocence. The episode examines Watson's controversial conviction, the shaky evidence presented at trial, and the ongoing debate about whether the right man was imprisoned. Join the hosts as they navigate through this complex case, questioning the reliability of the evidence and discussing if justice was truly served. Click here to see all listening options. Today I am going to tell you about the horrific murder of Sade Robinson. On April 1st, 2024, Sade went on a first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson, who she presumably met on a dating app. After dinner, Anderson allegedly lured Sade to his home where he allegedly threatened her with a gun and forced her into his basement, which he had prepared beforehand by covering the ceiling, floors, and walls with plastic tarps. He then allegedly murdered and dismembered Sade, before scattering her remains around Milwaukee. He is set to be put on trial for the crimes in May of 2025.
