Knife Imitates Art... (in Rio)

Hey Slaycaters, we’re back with a case that feels like a scripted mini-series that has it all: fame, fortune, sex, illicit sex, betrayal, backstabbing, front stabbing and of course, murder. When famed art dealer and world renowned Manhattan gallery owner Brent Sikkema was found brutally murdered in his luxury apartment in Rio de Janeiro it set off an investigation that spanned continents and uncovered a sea of dirty dealings and greed. And since this case happened in January of 2024, it is still relatively new with fresh details still coming out. Join us for a wild ride that feels more fiction than fact — but ripped a very real hole in the art community with the death of one its most beloved figures. As always, thanks for Slaycating with us and please stay safe out there! MORE KIM!: Subscribe to SLAYCATION PLUS and get weekly ‘More Kim’ bonus episodes.
