Brentford 1-1 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Get in touch to claim your exclusive FanHub Golden Ticket - but hurry as there are only a few left! Forest faced another match against one of the Championship top six as they travelled to West London to take on Brentford. The hosts took the lead through an Ivan Toney penalty early in the first half but Forest responded by dominating possession and were rewarded for a positive display just past the hour mark, as Filip Krovinovic netted his first goal for the club, slotting home after The Bees failed to clear Gaetan Bong's cross. For Chris Hughton's men, it was a case of a point well-deserved whilst Brentford were left to rue missed opportunities. We are joined by Robin Hood from the Beesotted Pride of West London Podcast to mull over events at the Brentford Community Stadium, looking at the performance of both sides, where Brentford's promotion hopes stand after this latest result and how Forest's prospects look for the remainder of the season. Nottingham Forest 0-2 Norwich City: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Get in touch to claim your exclusive FanHub Golden Ticket - but hurry as there are only a few left! Another defeat at the hands of one of the top teams in the division - well, THE top team. Norwich tore the Reds to pieces, especially in the first half, and Chris Hughton admitted that Forest just didn't get close enough to their opponents. It was probably a surprise that the scoreline stayed at 0-2 after such a bad start to the match, but Forest did have opportunities, most notably for Ryan Yates and the hapless Lewis Grabban. We are joined by Norwich fan Tyrone Bradford, dissecting not just the match but also having an in-depth chat about Chris Hughton, footballing philosophies, and the importance of long-term strategic thinking (contrasting Norwich's stability and success with the inconsistencies and stop-start nature of life at the City Ground). Finances and Football Index failure: The 1865 Forest Ramble meets Kieran Maguire

Finances and Football Index failure: The 1865 Forest Ramble meets Kieran Maguire

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. The Reds releasing their financial figures last week, and as expected there were significant losses, which was followed by the news of Football Index's demise leading to the loss of shirt sponsorship. Initial forecasts suggested that the Reds were likely to be mid-table in terms of expected losses, but with nearly £150 going out for every £100 coming in, is this sustainable? We were delighted to be joined by football finance expert Kieran Maguire to discuss wages, losses, the City Ground, and whether it is promotion or bust, especially with the effects of Coronavirus on Championship football. Thank you to Kieran for taking the time to join us. Like what you hear? Nottingham Forest 1-1 Reading: The 1865 Match Report

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Reading: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Forest put in a creditable performance against Reading, but once again we discovered the difference a good striker can make. After Glenn Murray forced Tom Holmes to put through his own net (OG is now the Reds' joint top scorer), Reading were able to turn up the wick in the last twenty minutes. The irrepressible Lucas Joao (probably the best striker in the division this season) caused all kinds of problems, and eventually set up Yakou Meite. Somehow Brice Samba managed to dive out of the way and Reading were back in the game. Only one team were going to win after that, so a point was probably a good result for the Reds in the end. Baz reports on the match, and is joined by Alex from the Elm Park Royals podcast to dissect the match and the prospects for both teams this season. Like what you hear? Watford 1-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Another disappointing defeat in which the Reds barely got a sight of the opposition goal, and Chris Hughton sounded downbeat afterwards. The Maradona of the Midlands gives his take on Forest's failure at Watford, and then Rich Ferraro is joined by Mike Duffy from the Voices of the Vic podcast, to get the view from the opposition; Mike is despondent about his own team, but is also surprised at how poor Forest are, particularly going forward. Nottingham Forest 0-1 Luton Town: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. A really disappointing night for the Reds, as they dominated proceedings for an hour, before the inevitable smash and grab. Forest had more than enough chances to win the match, with Anthony Knockaert once again threatening, and Simon Sluga making decent saves from Glenn Murray and James Garner, amongst others.  Chris Hughton was his usual mild-mannered self after the match, but admitted to being disappointed. We hear from our correspondent Baz, and then Rich Ferraro is joined by Luton Town fan Ryan McCole, for a discussion about chances, saves, and Luton and Forest's hopes of mid-table obscurity. Derby County 1-1 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

Derby County 1-1 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Before the match many Reds fans would have taken a point, but after a dominant display, Forest were once again left to rue a lack of clear opportunities on goal. James Garner's first-half effort should have been saved by David Marshall, but after the goal the Reds were very much on top, until Colin Kazim-Richards found a second-half equaliser out of almost nowhere. After that it was frantic stuff and Derby will feel that they have the better chances, but Forest kept plugging away and retain the Brian Clough Trophy. Rich Ferraro is joined by the Maradona of the Midlands and special guests Cory and Jason from the Rams Review Podcast, to discuss the evening's big talking points. Like what you hear?
