Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Saturday saw Forest travel to Hillsborough to take on relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday. With plenty at stake for the hosts, it was Forest who came closets to scoring, as Lewis Grabban saw his penalty saved by Kieren Westwood in first half injury time. Wednesday created chances in the second and forced a couple of saves from Brice Samba, but in truth neither team looked like carving out big goalscoring opportunities as the match finished goalless. The point takes Wednesday's survival battle into a final day showdown against Derby County, while Forest have their last game of the season at home to Preston to look forward to.  We speak to Jamie from Sheffield Wednesday podcast Wednesday Til I Die about the match, the performances of the two sides and how Wednesday will get on their crunch clash next weekend. Nottingham Forest 1-1 Stoke City: The 1865 Match Report

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Stoke City: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. The last time Forest hosted Stoke at The City Ground, the hosts saw their play-off hopes dashed by the Potters amid a dramatic evening on Trentside. This time, the match wasn't quite so eventful but Chris Hughton's side did enough to earn a draw and with it, secure Championship safety for next season. After Rabbi Matondo had put Stoke ahead in the first half, Lewis Grabban made up for an earlier miss by netting five minutes into the second period, latching on to a poor piece of defending to poke the ball home. Forest saw more of the ball and edged the game in chances created but had to settle for a point. We speak to Ben Rowley from Stoke podcast The YYY-Files about the game, the performances of Forest and Stoke, their attacking shortfalls and look at where the sides can take stock of this campaign and improve next season. Birmingham City 1-1 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

Birmingham City 1-1 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Forest were awful. Let's just get that out of the way. If Chris Hughton was annoyed on Saturday, he was fuming last night. Lee Bowyer was also fuming as Birmingham conceded a late late penalty, coolly and ably converted by Lewis Grabban, to rescue a barely-deserved point. We hear from Tom Newton with his thoughts on the match from a Red perspective, and are joined by Matthew Elliott from the We Are Birmingham podcast with his thoughts on the penalty, the referee, and Chris Hughton's Forest. Nottingham Forest 0-2 Huddersfield Town: The 1865 Match Report

Nottingham Forest 0-2 Huddersfield Town: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Forest made a bright start in this one, but failed to take advantage of a nervy-looking Huddersfield defence, and some of us had a feeling how things would go after that. The Reds then helped the Terriers, as James Garner's loose pass sent Aaron Rowe through on goal, and Anthony Knockaert also gave the ball away cheaply, allowing Juninho Bacuna to take a run and shot which powered past Brice Samba. Baz reports on this match, which saw Chris Hughton publicly admonish his players afterwards, warning that Forest are not yet safe from the drop. Like what you hear? Bristol City 0-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

Bristol City 0-0 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. It was a goalless draw, and a fairly unexciting encounter between two teams now mired in mid-table obscurity - but what a relief for Reds fans to be able to say that after looking over their shoulders all season. Alex Mighten came closest for the visitors, hitting the post in the first half, before former Reds skipper Henri Lansbury returned the favour from the other end, with Brice Samba stranded. Erm, that's about it - neither keeper had much to do, and although Forest were probably the better team, Chris Hughton was disappointed not to have inflicted an eighth straight home defeat on City. Rich Ferraro is joined by Stanley Hughes from the One Stream In Bristol podcast, to dissect the match and wallow in the misery of lockdown football - we didn't even mention the annoying swimming pool noises over the Tannoy. Nottingham Forest 3-1 Queens Park Rangers: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Get in touch to claim your exclusive FanHub Golden Ticket - but hurry as there are only a few left! Following on from their Good Friday victory at Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest hosted Queens Park Rangers on Easter Monday and rounded off the double-header by making it maximum points from their two Easter matches. A confident, attacking display from the Reds saw them comfortably see off Mark Warburton's Rangers, with goals from Alex Mighten, Lewis Grabban and James Garner securing the victory. Mighten's recent bright displays were rewarded with his close-range finish in the first half, while Grabban bagged his fourth of the season as he rifled home a curling drive from 25 yards before Garner rounded off the win. A late consolation for the visitors couldn't take off the shine as Chris Hughton's side put in a dominant display against the in-form Hoops to move 13 points clear of the relegation zone with six games of the season remaining. Steven reflects on an enjoyable Forest display and a level of Forest performance which provides optimism not just for the remainder of this season but for next season too. Like what you hear? Cardiff City 0-1 Nottingham Forest: The 1865 Match Report

The 1865 Forest Ramble is part of the Fan Hub Network - where fans come first. Get in touch to claim your exclusive FanHub Golden Ticket - but hurry as there are only a few left! Forest started their Easter programme in the perfect way as they secured a hard-fought victory away at playoff-chasing Cardiff City. On a glorious sunny afternoon in South Wales, James Garner rounded off a neat team move to score the only goal of the game and earn Chris Hughton's Reds all three points. The hosts had a few opportunities in the second half but Forest battled their way to the win and move 10 points clear of the Championship's bottom three in the process. We are joined by Ben Price from the View from the Ninian podcast to discuss events at the Cardiff City Stadium; in particular what Forest did so well on the day to keep Mick McCarthy's men quiet and where this result leaves the Bluebirds in their playoff chase.
