The question I have is is advertising even that important anymore. I hear an Infinity War/Spiderman movie is going to be out in 2 months and I'm there. I don't need advertising 4 another movie I would say the same for a Star Wars movie I know it's coming out I don't need to see it trailer all I need to see is the movie. Wanted to get your thoughts on this. Please keep up the good work been listening to you since episode 3.” Paul I wonders if the trailer could “tease the disappearance of Spider-Man and the chaos that is left behind. Perhaps Tony Stark hands his Spider-Man suit from Infinity War to someone else.....it almost negates the need for any special abilities? It doesn’t have to reveal how he returns until full trailers after the release of avengers 4 if he returns at all! Is it possible that Marvel have duped us all and have recast a New Spider-Man such as Miles Morales?” To submit questions to the mailbag, send them to peter@slashfilm.com. Spoiler Discussion: She-Hulk Episode 2 ”Superhuman Law” [AUDIO FIXED]

Spoiler Discussion: She-Hulk Episode 2 ”Superhuman Law” [AUDIO FIXED]

On the August 25, 2022 episode of /Film Daily, /Film editorial director Peter Sciretta is joined by /Film editor Brad Oman to have a spoiler-filled discussion about She-Hulk Episode 2 “Superhuman Law” Opening Banter:    In The Spoiler Room: She-Hulk Episode 2 “Superhuman Law” FeedbackMatthew from Toronto, Canada writes in “You mentioned the possibility of bringing in Hulk's son. Since time runs differently on Sakaar, Hulk's son could already be an adult. As they showed in Thor: Ragnarok when Thor was behind Loki by just a few seconds but arrived several weeks after.  There are some theories online that the MCU might be trying to set up World War Hulk. However, I'm speculating something a bit different in that Marvel will use Hulk's son for the Young Avengers. As there's a character among the Young Avengers called Hulkling. In the comics, he isn't the son of Hulk but a Super Skrull who shapeshifts mainly as a teenage Hulk. In the comics he is also the son of the original Captain Mar-vell and a Skrull princess, the heir to the Skrull Empire. I don't think that would work with the changes made with Captain Mar-vell and the Skrulls in the Captain Marvel movie.  Making Hulkling the son of Hulk removes the convoluted backstory and means the MCU has one more character for some sort of Young Avengers project. Also it gives Hulk a new story arc that can be a sort of b plot in several Marvel Movies, rather than something as story heavy as World War Hulk which I think would require the Hulk to have his own movie.” Brief reactions Breakdown  Speculation    Also mentioned:      All the other stuff you need to know: You can find more about all the stories we mentioned on today’s show at slashfilm.com, and linked inside the show notes. /Film Daily is published every weekday, bringing you the most exciting news from the world of movies and television as well as deeper dives into the great features from slashfilm.com.  You can subscribe to /Film Daily on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Spotify and all the popular podcast apps (RSS).  Send your feedback, questions, comments and concerns to us at peter@slashfilm.com. On the August 17, 2022 episode of /Film Daily, /Film editorial director Peter Sciretta will discuss the latest film and tv news, including a Big Thunder Mountain movie, another Saw film, and in the mail bag we’ll answer a question about how AMC A-List contributes to the Box Office. In The News: Peter (og Valerie): Hawkeye Directors Are Making A Big Thunder Mountain Movie For Disney Rafael: Next Saw Film Set For Halloween 2023 Release In The Mailbag: Matt Y writes in “I have always wondered about this topic and thought that maybe Ryan could illuminate further.  How do monthly subscription programs like AMC Stubs A-list count toward box office numbers?   My understanding of MoviePass was that the company was actually buying the ticket at full price, but they were not affiliated with any specific theater chain. When I use my AMC membership to see a movie at AMC, are they paying themselves for each ticket?   Is someone seeing Spiderman: No Way Home three times a week under their membership counted the same as someone paying "out of pocket" and seeing it just as often? Is this another area of nebulous "Hollywood accounting"? I would just be curious to hear you and Ryan discuss this sometime.  Thanks for years of regular podcast content! -Matt” Also mentioned:      All the other stuff you need to know: You can find more about all the stories we mentioned on today’s show at slashfilm.com, and linked inside the show notes.
