Despite a decent showing in the first half, Freddie Woodman's save from Antony Knockaert meant that Forest once again failed to score; then when Connor Roberts inexplicably out-jumped Sammy Ameobi, we just knew that we were up against it. The second half saw Swansea's back three hold firm, preventing Forest from having any meaningful efforts. It all boils down to composure; Knockaert could have done better with his first half effort, and all over the pitch, the Forest players seemed to want an extra half-second or another touch. We all knew this would be a tough night for the Reds, and so it proved, with Bournemouth proving to be slick, composed and superior in many departments. Forest weren't entirely hopeless, but the concession of soft goals at the start of each half gave them too much to do, and even when Bournemouth took their foot off the gas, the Reds struggled to test Asmir Begovic in the Cherries' goal. The Maradona Of The Midlands reports on a harsh lesson for Chris Hughton's men, which only proved to demonstrate that there is a lot of work for the Reds' players and manager to do to make Forest a competitive force this season.
