Faith says “yes,” and obedience steps forward. A tree with no fruit is dead; likewise, a Christian with no obedience reveals a root problem. As he put it plainly: “If there’s no fruit in your life, your relationship might be dead.”The lesson closes with a reminder that we are pilgrims, not settlers. Our roots must not grow too deep in this world. Faith anchors us to God; obedience keeps us moving toward the city “whose builder and maker is God.”
