The preacher uses her story as a mirror for the church, identifying spiritual issues that weaken the body of Christ. As he said, “She had a problem… and the longer she was with this condition, she was just getting worse.”The first issue: laziness. Spiritual laziness leads to weakness, missed services, neglected prayer, and an unused altar. The preacher warns that laziness spreads quietly — first Wednesday nights, then Sunday nights, then Sunday mornings, until people disappear altogether. He reminds the church that “Man cannot live by bread alone… when we become lazy to hear the Word of the Lord, you’ll get sick.”The second issue: the tongue — jealousy, strife, gossip, and division. Words can split churches faster than any external attack. He quotes James, reminding listeners that the tongue is small but powerful, capable of starting fires that destroy fellowship. “If all you’ve got is something bad to say about somebody else, all you’re doing is dividing.”The message continues with additional issues such as lust and spiritual complacency, but the heartbeat remains the same: unaddressed issues grow worse. Just like the woman in Mark 5, the church must seek Christ for healing before the sickness becomes fatal.
