Not to mention, if Neil deGrasse Tyson isn’t inclined to step up, then I’m happy fill that vacuum. We are laypeople.And if I can unravel these heady concepts into the realm of what’s possible, then that has value for all of us. Does that make me a UFOlogist? Yes, and no. A UFOlogist is pretty much anyone who studies the topic and shares their research. Just like journalists, there isn’t a UFOlogy certification. On top of that, those that seek to foster the stigma are more than pleased to slather pseudoscience over the term. In that respect, I’d not consider myself any sort of ‘ologist, more of a layperson translator. I’m seeking to advance understanding.
