Friends,

In today's episode, I speak with author and domestic abuse survivor Shelley Edwards Jorgensen. Shelley shares her traumatic experiences growing up amidst domestic violence, culminating in the tragic murder of her mother by her father. Through her narrative, we explore the complex dynamics of familial abuse and the burdens it places on children.

Drawing from her book Beautiful Ashes: A True Story of Murder, Betrayal, and One Woman's Search for Peace, Shelley recounts heartbreaking moments from her past and discusses how faith and forgiveness played a pivotal role in her healing journey. This episode is a testament to overcoming unimaginable adversity, guided by the belief that where sin abounds, grace abounds even more.

Join us next week for Part Two of Shelley's story, where she delves into the lessons learned and her profound understanding of forgiveness.
