Ohio Double Homicide. Investigators Believe Dentist Killing Was Personal

This true crime breaking news story begins in Columbus, Ohio, where a respected dentist, Dr. Tepe, and his wife Monique were found brutally murdered inside their own home while they slept. Investigators say the killings happened sometime between midnight and early morning, and what immediately stunned police was what did not happen. There was no forced entry, no ransacking, and nothing stolen. Instead, the crime scene pointed to a calculated and highly targeted execution.

Surveillance footage now released by police shows a lone figure approaching the home, dressed head to toe in dark clothing, moving with a distinctive gait that investigators believe could be the key to finally identifying the killer. The house, valued at roughly $700,000, sits in an area undergoing redevelopment, but detectives have made it clear this was not a random robbery or gang-related shooting. Whoever entered the home appeared to know exactly how to get inside, including access to a coded door. That detail has fueled intense scrutiny over who may have known the entry code, especially since the couple previously hosted large gatherings at the residence. Inside the bedroom, only three shots were fired. Police believe those rounds were deliberate kill shots, striking both victims with precision rather than chaos.

The restrained number of casings, the timing, and the clean entry and exit have all raised the possibility that this was either deeply personal or professionally arranged. As the investigation continues, attention has also turned to another devastating case involving family violence, the shocking killings tied to Sarah Grace Patrick. At just sixteen years old, Patrick is accused of fatally shooting her mother and stepfather while they slept, striking them in the head multiple times. The case has gripped the true crime world because of its brutality, the age of the accused, and the looming questions about motive, mental state, and family dynamics.

With a trial already fast-tracked, prosecutors insist the evidence is strong, though much remains sealed due to her status as a minor. Together, these cases underscore the unsettling reality that some of the most horrifying crimes happen behind closed doors, committed not by strangers, but by someone who knew exactly where to stand and when to strike. As new surveillance video circulates and investigators ask the public for help, one question looms over both stories. Who is capable of this level of violence, and what truth is still hiding in plain sight.
