On the morning of January 24, 2006, Jennifer Kesse didn’t show up for work.
Her phone went straight to voicemail.
Her car was missing.
And within hours, her life — and her case — would become frozen in time.

What followed was an investigation filled with unsettling contradictions: security footage that captured a suspect but hid their identity, evidence that was abundant yet inconclusive, and early missteps that may have cost investigators their best chance at answers.
