Episode 88: When the Coach Had Chickens: Finding Real Trading Clarity

In this episode, Darko sits down with Alex, a swing trader from New Zealand who began trading during Covid after realizing how uncertain job security can be.

Like many traders, Alex spent time and money on courses that promised results but never explained why price moves the way it does. One “coaching” experience even raised a red flag when he realized there were chickens clucking in the background during a call — a moment they both laugh about, but one that highlights how questionable much of the trading space can be.

Alex talks openly about the hardest parts of his journey — mindset, patience, and learning to stop seeing what he wants to see on the charts. Coming from a project management background, Alex explains why trading isn’t black and white, and how that mental shift was critical.

Alex also shares the moment things started to click: replicating how Darko maps price movement onto his own charts, and repeatedly reviewing past Pre-Market Analysis videos to reinforce proper context and decision-making.
