Creating Art That Heals | A Conversation with Brian Dixon

Creating Art That Heals | A Conversation with Brian Dixon

Tune in to this powerful episode of Along the Rock as host Nathan Stahr sits down with returning guest Brian Dixon for an inspiring and deeply personal conversation.

Brian shares his journey following a life-altering workplace accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury, and how he has navigated the daily challenges that come with it. From memory struggles and chronic headaches to sensory sensitivities, his story sheds light on the realities of living with an invisible condition.

More importantly, Brian opens up about how he rediscovered purpose through art. From emotionally driven paintings to wood carvings and blacksmithing, his work has become both a creative outlet and a way to connect with others. One of his most meaningful pieces, created for Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month, reflects the isolation many people experience—and the power of expression through art.

Brian also discusses his ongoing support of Granny Rose Animal Shelter, where a portion of his artwork sales helps animals in need, and where his artistic touch has helped create a more calming environment for shelter pets.

This episode is a story of resilience, creativity, and giving back to the community.
