Ashley Stewart: GPS Tracker to Garage Ambush

Ashley Stewart was a devoted mom of six, positivity advocate, and birthing-community supporter living her new life in Oswego, Illinois. On January 27, 2026, her ex-husband Ryan Dodd allegedly chased her into her own garage and stabb*d her to d*ath— while her current husband Adam watched the entire ambush unfold live on their home security cameras.

In this episode of Red Flags and Body Bags, We walk you through every chilling detail: the motion-activated GPS tracker Ryan hid under Ashley’s car bumper, his searches for “how to hide a GPS on a Ford Expedition,” the four surveillance runs on her home, the morning he was caught urinating behind garages in her neighborhood, and the emergency $15,000 child-support hearing scheduled for the very next day.

We break down the financial abuse that continued long after the 2022 divorce, the red flags Ashley tried to address just six days before the murder, and the little-known facts. This is the story of post-separation lethality, tech-enabled stalking, and why the deadliest time in an abusive relationship is often after you leave.
